I brought up the idea of re-starting the whole Broke family if nothing further works (I currently have up to Seasons installed).  Will put a poll up.

Ok, seems you have to open an account with a third party, etc.  Can’t be bothered doing that.

So the question is, do I start the Broke family all over again?  I just had a thought that I could move the whole household out and into another neighbourhood.  Then I could have both old and new.

We’ll see.  It all depends on successful installation of the remaining expansion packs.

For some reason the guests started dancing on the footpath before even reaching the house.

Soleil got to have a good talk with her brother, Montagne Charvat (on the right).

Her other brother, Ciel (twin of Montagne) was outside lunching with Montagne’s wife, Brooke.

Meanwhile the twins, Pierre and Lily, were in the kitchen with mum (Soleil’s daughter-in-law).

So cute.  You don’t get cute in Sims 3.

He named the baby Skippy.  So the Brokes of Dustin’s branch live on.

Storm realised belatedly that they had now amassed a fair amount of money, so they redecorated their house inside and out, rather than move.

Jennifer was out in the front garden with her mother-in-law when she went into labour.

She had a boy and a girl: Pierre and Lily.

Their birthday came around quickly.

Roxie went off to Sim State university because it was expected of her.  She didn’t want to be there.  She hated the hostel she was staying in.  All the people were so ugly and boring.  She was introduced to one dark-haired dude but she just looked at him and shrugged “Meh”.  She then tried moving to another hostel but there were fewer students there and only about one, very ugly, guy.  She complained to her dad on the phone.  “I hate it here, dad”.  He tried to tell her to give it time and to concentrate on study.  Yeah right.  Her goal in life was to find a suitably handsome lover and/or rich husband.

She’d heard about the guys in the Greek House and wanted to move in.  “You can’t just move in.  You have to belong and be invited” advised one of the students.  Roxie just screwed her nose up at her and mocked her.  Roxie had her radar set for one Castor Nova she’d heard about.  (He had, in fact, been a good friend of Roxie’s grandmother!)  But first, joining the Greek house. Roxie decided to move into the house opposite the guys.  She had vainly hoped that one of them might walk past.  But she just ended up with this ugly guy who lived there called Martin Ruben.  Roxie was really hating this whole university experience.  “I wanna come home!” she complained to her father.  He said no.

Roxie headed to some sort of park in the hope of seeing this Castor guy.  She couldn’t believe it when she got there.  “Is this it?”  It was just a lot of paths leading to this tiny pool of water and the only other things there were toilets and coffee.  “Who in their right mind would come here?” she thought.  So she headed over to some sort of music building.  She had been told also to look out for people in blazers cos if you got to know them you could join an exclusive club.  Roxie wasn’t sure if they meant the Greek house or something different but she spotted an ugly girl in a blazer and got talking to her.  It was tedious but she got to friendship level and then the girl walked off.  But wait! Wasn’t that Castor Nova over there?…

She immediately accosted him and introduced herself and did everything she could to make him friends.  But he walked off before she could get there.  No matter – now she could invite him over.

She did and he brought along his Greek house friends, including Martin’s brother, the equally ugly Joshua Ruben.  She asked to join the Greek house and she was given the task of having to make friends with this guy (she’d already got talking to the fat blond guy).  Success.  She was now a member of the Greek House.  After they left she assumed she could just move into their place.  Nope.  She had to be invited.  Finally she asked for an invitation and, lo and behold, a taxi drew up to take her across the road (“crazy” she thought).

That goal achieved, Roxie now turned her charms on Castor.  Her mother had been a good teacher.  She gave him a makeover while he was at it – chucking away those ugly glasses so she could see his beautiful eyes.  (She’d deal with the clothes later, her own included.)

Castor was hers at last!

Her ultimate goal finally achieved, Roxie dropped out with Castor and they headed downtown.  Castor was glad to be finally out of university where he’d been stuck for generations.

They rented an apartment in an apartment building with the name of Seaview or Seaspray, although there was no sea anywhere nearby.  Roxie then broke the news (haha) to her disappointed father.  Buck wasn’t surprised.  She was her mother’s daughter.

I have played the Broke households recently but nothing of interest has happened in any of them over the two Sim days that I played them.

To make things less confusing (for me as well as everyone else) I will only continue blogging about the Broke families with the actual surname of Broke unless something really interesting happens.  This, in effect, means that I’ll only blog about Chip’s sons’ families, unless Storm comes up with a son.  I suppose I could include the Huntingdons (Beau’s family) but the rest (Greenwood, Pleasant, et al) will not be appearing.

In any case, Storm Broke had two stupidly named girls – Uttali and Pawleigh.  I decided to make the toddler a vampire so she’d die off.  Unfortunately the social worker took them both away before Pawleigh could die.

I got the Dongle sisters (blogged about in the Pleasantview blog) to adopt them both.  Vampire Pawleigh died shortly after delivery by the social worker.  One down.  Uttali was made to go in the pool and the ladder disappeared, so she drowned.

Storm and his wife are now expecting another baby.  If it’s a girl I guess I’ll just have to make her keep the name.
