The dating adventures of Storm Broke

November 14, 2009

Dawn’s twin brother, Storm, had also dropped out of university and moved in with his uncle and aunt.  His uncle Starlight was Storm’s mother’s twin brother.  Storm had had no luck finding a girlfriend in university so he asked the gypsy woman for a blind date.  The first date was an ugly townie.  The second date was more promising although she was playing hard to get.  He was about to give up, say goodbye and try and call her the next day but she’d seemingly gone home.

The next day Storm tried to call her.  Her name was Kaylyn Spritz(?) but she wasn’t on Storm’s phone list.  Was she still on the property?  Storm went looking around the house and outside and stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the headstone.  His aunt’s cowplant had eaten Storm’s potential girlfriend.  His heart sank.  He felt he’d be forever single and his sister had just got married and was pregnant.

Storm asked if he could use his uncle’s car and he headed downtown.  He went to the Crypt-o-Night club and Lulu’s lounge but all the people there were old.  He finally decided he’d just head to the bowling alley and have some fun.  Again, he was surrounded by old people but there was one young woman there.  Her name was Linda Barthelet.

He got chatting to her and they seemed to get on well.  Storm asked her on a date then and there.  He tried all the usual flirting strategies.

Eventually he got his very first kiss.

They then had a meal together.

Storm found out she was a convenience store clerk but wanted to get into a sports career.  Storm didn’t have a job but wanted to get into the medical career.  An opening just hadn’t come up yet.

They got on so well that Storm proposed to her at the bowling alley.

Remarkably, Linda accepted.

Storm was so excited, he got carried away and they immediately got married in the bowling alley, with Storm’s mother, Moonrise, nearby.

Linda moved in with Storm with 10,000 simoleons.  Unfortunately there was just a double bed and single bed at Storm’s uncle’s place.  The house, incidentally, is the very same that Storm’s great-grandmother, Brandi, lived in with her three sons (and later four daughters).

Unbelievably Storm got Linda pregnant back at the house – and they were still on the date!  Storm had flirted, proposed, wedded and got a woman pregnant all on one date.  Way to go, Storm!

What will happen when the baby’s born?  Who’s going to move out or will some of the household meet a similar fate to Stone Broke’s son, Rocky?  Stay tuned…

A wedding

November 14, 2009

Dawn Broke moved in with Vanni back to his mother’s place.  They had both dropped out of university but were engaged to be married.  Everyone got on well.

Vanni and Dawn discussed their future.

Vanni had had no recent contact with his father Juan Lothario, so Ramone invited him over.  Dawn was introduced to him.

Vanni didn’t get on too well with his dad.

Nevertheless, Juan stayed on for his son’s wedding.  (Dawn was a pregnant bride.)

It seemed Juan had had an effect on Vanni’s new wife.

Juan seemed reluctant at first to congratulate them,

but he joined in the applause.

There were kisses all round.

Seems Vanni’s parents still had feelings for each other.

The wedding celebrations were over and Ramone headed back to work.  She had recently been promoted to Predigistator and had earned a limo.

Unfortunately it was to be her last day at work, and in life.  On her return, Death awaited.

Death guided her ghost on her way while Vanni grieved.

A short time later, Dawn gave birth to a girl which they called Ramona after her deceased grandmother.

Great aunt, Ophelia, looked on.  Dawn was exhausted so went to bed.  Vanni got out of the pool and fed his new daughter.

Tragedy at Skip’s

November 14, 2009

Skip’s daughter, Penny, gave birth to a girl, Dayja (Vu).

Penny was an attentive mother but Bill, while not the greatest did his turn at feeding his daughter.  Bill had a tendency to influence his wife to do things around the house, such as gardening.

It was autumn and Skip and Moonrise were at work.  Penny went out to rake up some of the many leaves.  She then decided to burn a pile and it got a little out of hand.  She managed to extinguish one bush but it spread to another pile of leaves.  Bill tried to extingish this second fire but he got too close and the inevitable happened.

The maid panicked but nothing could be done.

Both Penny and Bill burned to death.

Luckily the nanny was inside looking after the baby or she would have been taken away.

When Skip and Moonrise returned from work a devastating scene awaited them.  Ironically it then started to rain.

Moonrise was beside herself with grief.

Her poor little granddaughter was now an orphan.  The maid cleaned up the mess and some flowers were replanted.  But Moonrise cried again when she went outside to pay the bills.

Little Dayja grew to a toddler.

Her grandparents got her potty-trained, taught her a nursery rhyme and also taught her to walk.

Moonrise fears for her future as she and Skip get older.

Skip made sure to dispose of the leaves carefully after that.

Glitch ‘n’ weddings

November 6, 2009

Another freaky glitch at Belle’s place, first of all.

Young Sky was going potty in his mother.

Meanwhile, the elder twins were getting engaged at university.

Brandon got engaged to a student called Donna.

Seal got engaged to Shayla Todd (the precocious daughter of Banshee Todd nee Pleasant).

Younger brother, Dusky, grew into a teen.

And so to the weddings.

Brandon and Donna’s.

Donna looks like she’s getting married in a school uniform.  (They hadn’t been clothes shopping yet – oops.)

Belle and Seal look on.  Then it’s party time in the small, oddly decorated, house.

Seal and Shayla had their wedding in winter and it was a small private affair.

Ocean doesn’t look too impressed with Seal’s choice of bride.

Skip and Belle

October 26, 2009

Skip, seen here painting a portrait of his daughter, Penny.

He hasn’t been promoted beyond architectural partner.  He seems to have difficulty finding and/or keeping friends.  His new son-in-law had no friends either (completely useless).

Penny and Bill got married at the front of the house.

Penny, still unemployed, was rather lonely when everyone was out at work, so she invited her siblings over.

They looked pretty bored.  Dawn had been making friends at university.

I think this guy is Vanni Pleasant but I can’t remember.

I think Dawn’s cousin, Seal Greenwood, is in the same dorm.

His mother, Belle, gave birth to her sixth child, Sky.

Sky grew up pretty quickly.

Now Ocean has to see his six kids married off to achieve his LTW.  Luckily he’s still young.

Brokes and Greenwoods

October 17, 2009

Penny Broke is another who left university.  She got friendly with a guy called Bill Vu.  She fell in love (even though he’s an ugly townie) and invited him to move in with her into her parents’ house.  (The twins were now at university themselves.)

Bill, unemployed, knew a good wicket when he saw one.  He took the opportunity to propose.

Penny accepted.  They’re not yet married and Bill got a job in the army.  Skip and Moonrise aren’t so enthused about the engagement.

Over at Belle’s, the twin boys went off to university as well.  Ocean is getting rather tired and hasn’t been able to work to get a promotion.

The nanny got herself stuck on the shelf above the stairs.

I don’t know how she got there.  Fed up with her moaning I put her in the ceiling where she eventually died.  Kaching!  Money for the headstone.

Long time no update

September 27, 2009

Sorry about that. I’ve had trouble with the computer.  There’s not much to update because I haven’t been playing Pleasantview lately and just as I was getting into it the graphics card played up.

Anyway, over at Parker’s place, his daughter Melisande fancied herself as a ballerina.

Louis is still a toddler.

At Belle and Ocean’s place, Dusky grew to school age,

and his twin sisters grew to toddlers.

Daisy above and Rosie below.

Brandon, unfortunately, has the Pleasant nose.

At Stone’s, his son is called Tad and grew to a toddler.

Lastly, over at Nancy’s son, Joe’s.  Joe and his wife had a toddler daughter (whose name escapes me for the moment) and she appeared frozen at the back of the apartment.  Then she disappeared.  Joe’s wife reluctantly got pregnant again, thinking their daughter was lost forever.  They decided to move into a house.   Lo and behold, the toddler girl appears at the new house!  She grew into school age.

That’s Joe’s pregnant wife in the background (whose name also escapes me) and Joe’s half-brother, Cedar, is visiting.  The teenage boy is Banshee Todd’s kid (the Pleasant family).

Belle’s brood

June 13, 2009

Belle and Ocean now have 5 kids.  After the twins a boy, Dusky, was born, seen here as a toddler with Belle.

There was a bit of a glitch with feeding him in the high chair when the nanny couldn’t decide whether to leave him in the high chair or take him out.  The computer didn’t know what the hell she was doing either so here we have one toddler sitting in the floor.

Nannies are so feckin’ moronic.  (Luckily babysitters in Sims 3 have some brains.)

Brandon had a nightmare.

The twins grew up as well as Dusky.

Belle then had another set of twins – girls this time.  Their names were Daisy and Rosie.

This rare moment of peace when everyone was sleeping was taken before Dusky grew up.  The girls are in their parents’ room.

I think Belle is pregnant again to satisfy Ocean’s wish of having 6 kids (who are then supposed to marry to fulfill his dream).

Brief update on (nearly) everyone

May 16, 2009

Dustin’s family

Skip Junior’s kids grew up.  Storm first:

He looked fine as a little boy but now it’s obvious he’s inherited his father’s nose.

Dawn was next:

Her nose looks ok – inherited from her mother.  Their mother, Moonrise, meanwhile, had grown into an elder.  Skip jnr’s not there yet.  The eldest, Penny, headed off to uni.

Belle had another baby boy and called it Dusky.  Her husband, Ocean, wants 6 kids.  I realised this too late – could’ve got the cheesecake out.  Next pregnancy I will (and she is).

Beau’s family

Parker’s baby son, Louis, grew to a toddler.

Parker’s mother, Veronica, was met at the front of the house by the Grim Reaper one night after work.

She was 72.  Her partner, Ethan is in his late 60s and forgets to feed himself, preferring to raid the bar instead.  It won’t be long before he carks it.

Chip’s family

Stone Broke and Megan McTavish married privately with his mother looking on (in her pyjamas).

In the background, next door, is the original Broke house, now inhabited by Moonrise’s twin brother, Starlight, and his family.

Megan’s got a bit of a chin thing happening.

Megan, quite frankly, did not like the family home – way too small and plain – so they moved out and into a larger house nearer the sea.  Sorry, forgot to take pics – next update will show the new residence.

Nancy’s family

Finally, Joe Thayer’s wife, Amanda had a baby – a girl they called Anna.  Joe and Amanda lived next door to Joe’s half-brother, Cedar Greenwood.  Cedar and wife just had a second daughter and for some reason, the baby shows up in the apartment next door.  Joe and Amanda keep wanting to pick it up.  I moved the baby so that Joe could and he went to feed it with unfortunate results.

The baby, of course, had disappeared but that didn’t stop Joe acting as if it hadn’t.  He then dutifully threw the bottle away in the rubbish bin.

Weird glitch.

It’s a bit of a pain that you get glitches from the apartment next door like the baby above (which you can’t see of course).  Sims keep showing up even though they’ve moved out.  In one of my apartments with stairs, everyone got stuck on the stairwell and no-one could go up or down.  I solved that one by moving out the Sims who were affected.  Fun.

I only played 2 Sim days of the Brokes.  I’ll try to update after a longer period so something more happens.

Peace and happiness?

March 21, 2009

Skip junior’s twins seemed to get on well together.

And for that matter so did Penny and her little sister.

Penny even read to Dawn while she was asleep.

All these interactions are without any direction from me.

Belle’s twins also seemed to get on.  They randomly hugged each other.

Nanny problems continued.  Both twins were over-tired but the nanny didn’t put them to bed.  Nannies are a complete pain in the arse.

The twins grew up finally.

Brandon and Seal

Brandon and Seal

But then they had a big fight in the bathroom…

Dunno what brought that on.

Nothing to tell with regard to the parents.  No-one’s had a promotion or affair or anything.
