Tragedy at Stone’s

November 13, 2009

Young Rocky grew to school age and still had the nasal deformity.

The Sim god was not pleased.  His birthday was brought forward and he was sent outside to where a birthday cake awaited…

Rocky obliged by trying to reach the cake and ‘gulp’, he was gone, with just a smelly burp to show he’d existed.

Tad found his brother, too late, and told Stone the news.

Stone went outside to grieve.  Megan was asleep at the time.

The headstone was sent to Mr Stiffy’s cemetery.

Megan woke to the news.

Tad decided to head off to uni on the same night.  Stone reluctantly waved him goodbye.

Stone and Megan were unexpectedly alone again.  Stone got a promotion to double agent, but life was empty.

They tried for another baby to fill the emptiness. [Queue baby music...]

New place, new baby

November 13, 2009

Brittany’s time had finally come.

She had just been promoted to Education Minister and was 75.

Now, finally, Danielle could talk to Buck about moving out of what she thought was a poky little house

(or perhaps a holiday by plane?)

Buck had to grieve first

By this time it was winter and the penguin made regular treks through the house.

But then a new house was built (which I forgot to take a pic of) and they moved in.

Pregnant Danielle then gave birth to her second child…

to another girl, called Shantelle.

Buck’s brother, Stone, and nephew, Tad, visited.  Buck was considerably richer than older brother, Stone, so he gave a gift of three sculptures (to sell for cash).

While Buck talked to Tad, Stone picked up the toddler, Roxie, and headed inside, passing, as he did so, the half-naked Danielle heading the other way.

They showed a definite interest in each other.

While Stone held Roxie,

Tad held the baby Shantelle.

Buck and Danielle, meanwhile, were busy making a third baby.

And the baby cried, leaving Tad at a loss what to do.  The parents rescued him.

Then both Buck and Danielle made dinner and laid it on the table but everyone picked up a plate in the kitchen and stood around.

While Stone and Tad were visiting, Roxie grew to school age,

and Shantelle grew to a clone of her sister.

Growing up

November 6, 2009

Tad Broke had been milking the cow plant so was younger than he should have been.  So I forced his birthday upon him and he ended up looking like an ok teen.

Baby brother, Rocky, was a bit neglected.

At Buck’s, his daughter, Roxie, grew to a toddler.

Roxie’s mother, Danielle, wants to live in a house like the Landgraab residence (currently empty in Bluewater) but they can’t afford it.  Danielle’s waiting for Buck’s mother to die so they can inherit and move out.

Stone and Buck

October 26, 2009

Over at Stone’s, Megan gave birth to another boy, Rocky.

Somewhere along the way, Stone must’ve studied parenting because he can check on the baby and find out what it wants.  (I don’t remember making him do that!)

Tad, meanwhile had been milking the cow plant and hasn’t aged a day.  I will have to force him to age into a teenager in another 3 Sim days.  Rocky has already become a (rather ugly) toddler.

You can’t see it properly here but his upturned nose makes him look as if he’s all nostrils.  Tad isn’t great looking either.  His nose is too close to his mouth.  Not sure why as the parents’ genetics are ok.  Will they try again to get a better-looking kid?  Will they kill off Rocky if he looks too horrendous as a boy/teen?  The cow plant in the front yard is a convenient means of murder…  Stay tuned.

At Buck’s, his wife, Danielle, was only tolerating the house shared with Buck’s mother.  She wanted something bigger and flashier.

Stone and Buck’s mother, Brittany, is now 71 and is a college dean.

Danielle gave birth to a girl, Roxie.

Buck Broke

October 17, 2009

Buck quit university and moved into an apartment block with Zeezee Tod (Banshee Pleasant’s son).  Neither of them had met anyone interesting at university (those townie Sims are so ugly!).  However, Buck decided to try for a blind date.  Buck struck lucky.  An attractive Sim with black hair fell from the sky and he fell in love with her.  Unfortunately I can’t remember her name except that her surname was Seavey.  She moved in with Buck and Zeezee.  Buck really had struck lucky.  She was a professional party guest and brought 70,000 simoleans with her.

Buck proposed.

They got married at the local park.

Meanwhile, Buck’s mother, Brittany had been promoted first to high school principal and then to senior professor.  She decided to move out of the poky little house she’d lived in with Chip and the boys, and moved into Dustin and Angela’s old house.  Dustin’s headstone was still there so that got moved to the crematorium in Bluewater.

Brittany invited Buck and his new wife to move in.  They did so, and with Buck’s wife’s money they expanded the house to fit three adults and a child.  A baby was on the way…

Over at Stone’s Tad grew to school age.

Megan got pregnant again and gave birth to another boy, Rocky.

Long time no update

September 27, 2009

Sorry about that. I’ve had trouble with the computer.  There’s not much to update because I haven’t been playing Pleasantview lately and just as I was getting into it the graphics card played up.

Anyway, over at Parker’s place, his daughter Melisande fancied herself as a ballerina.

Louis is still a toddler.

At Belle and Ocean’s place, Dusky grew to school age,

and his twin sisters grew to toddlers.

Daisy above and Rosie below.

Brandon, unfortunately, has the Pleasant nose.

At Stone’s, his son is called Tad and grew to a toddler.

Lastly, over at Nancy’s son, Joe’s.  Joe and his wife had a toddler daughter (whose name escapes me for the moment) and she appeared frozen at the back of the apartment.  Then she disappeared.  Joe’s wife reluctantly got pregnant again, thinking their daughter was lost forever.  They decided to move into a house.   Lo and behold, the toddler girl appears at the new house!  She grew into school age.

That’s Joe’s pregnant wife in the background (whose name also escapes me) and Joe’s half-brother, Cedar, is visiting.  The teenage boy is Banshee Todd’s kid (the Pleasant family).

Stone Broke

June 12, 2009

Stone and Megan moved to their new house.

Note the cow plant.  Megan had it in her inventory – it used to belong to her father’s wife.

Megan got pregnant and had a baby (seen here having its birthday).  Apologies but it’s been so long since I played them that I can’t remember the name. I think it’s a boy.

Worryingly, a couple of visitors to the house had tried to take the cow plant’s tempting offer of a piece of cake but luckily the cow plant teased them and didn’t let them take it.

Unfortunately that wasn’t the case for the nanny.

A nanny killed at last – yay!

Brief update on (nearly) everyone

May 16, 2009

Dustin’s family

Skip Junior’s kids grew up.  Storm first:

He looked fine as a little boy but now it’s obvious he’s inherited his father’s nose.

Dawn was next:

Her nose looks ok – inherited from her mother.  Their mother, Moonrise, meanwhile, had grown into an elder.  Skip jnr’s not there yet.  The eldest, Penny, headed off to uni.

Belle had another baby boy and called it Dusky.  Her husband, Ocean, wants 6 kids.  I realised this too late – could’ve got the cheesecake out.  Next pregnancy I will (and she is).

Beau’s family

Parker’s baby son, Louis, grew to a toddler.

Parker’s mother, Veronica, was met at the front of the house by the Grim Reaper one night after work.

She was 72.  Her partner, Ethan is in his late 60s and forgets to feed himself, preferring to raid the bar instead.  It won’t be long before he carks it.

Chip’s family

Stone Broke and Megan McTavish married privately with his mother looking on (in her pyjamas).

In the background, next door, is the original Broke house, now inhabited by Moonrise’s twin brother, Starlight, and his family.

Megan’s got a bit of a chin thing happening.

Megan, quite frankly, did not like the family home – way too small and plain – so they moved out and into a larger house nearer the sea.  Sorry, forgot to take pics – next update will show the new residence.

Nancy’s family

Finally, Joe Thayer’s wife, Amanda had a baby – a girl they called Anna.  Joe and Amanda lived next door to Joe’s half-brother, Cedar Greenwood.  Cedar and wife just had a second daughter and for some reason, the baby shows up in the apartment next door.  Joe and Amanda keep wanting to pick it up.  I moved the baby so that Joe could and he went to feed it with unfortunate results.

The baby, of course, had disappeared but that didn’t stop Joe acting as if it hadn’t.  He then dutifully threw the bottle away in the rubbish bin.

Weird glitch.

It’s a bit of a pain that you get glitches from the apartment next door like the baby above (which you can’t see of course).  Sims keep showing up even though they’ve moved out.  In one of my apartments with stairs, everyone got stuck on the stairwell and no-one could go up or down.  I solved that one by moving out the Sims who were affected.  Fun.

I only played 2 Sim days of the Brokes.  I’ll try to update after a longer period so something more happens.

Stone returns home

March 27, 2009

Stone finished at uni (or rather, dropped out) and returned to his widowed mum back home.

He invited round his girlfriend he’d met at uni.

Another generation of Brokes may not be far away.

Brittany is (only just) close to becoming an elder.

Chip dies

March 7, 2009

The end of the line had come for Chip Broke.

He was a judge and would have been promoted the next day but he died, age 73.

Brittany and Buck mourned for his loss.

Stone was still at university and didn’t really register his father’s death.

So Brandi and Skip Broke’s three sons are no more.

Stone was having a hard time trying to woo a student in the dorm.  They were getting on well and then she had to go and flirt with the annoying cow.  It’s taking forever for Stone to want to flirt with her again.  Grrr.

Buck is about to go to uni, so I had Stone drop out.   He’d only just completed one semester and it was getting boring.
