The Huntingdons
Nothing much happening at the big house. Parker got promoted to partner in the architectural firm.
Here’s a family picture.

Melisande grew to a teenager.

[The graphics are a bit blocky because I turned the settings right down which is perhaps why the graphics card has been behaving itself lately.]

Long time no update
Sorry about that. I’ve had trouble with the computer. There’s not much to update because I haven’t been playing Pleasantview lately and just as I was getting into it the graphics card played up.
Anyway, over at Parker’s place, his daughter Melisande fancied herself as a ballerina.

Louis is still a toddler.

At Belle and Ocean’s place, Dusky grew to school age,

and his twin sisters grew to toddlers.

Daisy above and Rosie below.

Brandon, unfortunately, has the Pleasant nose.
At Stone’s, his son is called Tad and grew to a toddler.

Lastly, over at Nancy’s son, Joe’s. Joe and his wife had a toddler daughter (whose name escapes me for the moment) and she appeared frozen at the back of the apartment. Then she disappeared. Joe’s wife reluctantly got pregnant again, thinking their daughter was lost forever. They decided to move into a house. Lo and behold, the toddler girl appears at the new house! She grew into school age.

That’s Joe’s pregnant wife in the background (whose name also escapes me) and Joe’s half-brother, Cedar, is visiting. The teenage boy is Banshee Todd’s kid (the Pleasant family).

Brief update on (nearly) everyone
Dustin’s family
Skip Junior’s kids grew up. Storm first:

He looked fine as a little boy but now it’s obvious he’s inherited his father’s nose.
Dawn was next:

Her nose looks ok – inherited from her mother. Their mother, Moonrise, meanwhile, had grown into an elder. Skip jnr’s not there yet. The eldest, Penny, headed off to uni.
Belle had another baby boy and called it Dusky. Her husband, Ocean, wants 6 kids. I realised this too late – could’ve got the cheesecake out. Next pregnancy I will (and she is).
Beau’s family
Parker’s baby son, Louis, grew to a toddler.

Parker’s mother, Veronica, was met at the front of the house by the Grim Reaper one night after work.

She was 72. Her partner, Ethan is in his late 60s and forgets to feed himself, preferring to raid the bar instead. It won’t be long before he carks it.
Chip’s family
Stone Broke and Megan McTavish married privately with his mother looking on (in her pyjamas).

In the background, next door, is the original Broke house, now inhabited by Moonrise’s twin brother, Starlight, and his family.

Megan’s got a bit of a chin thing happening.
Megan, quite frankly, did not like the family home – way too small and plain – so they moved out and into a larger house nearer the sea. Sorry, forgot to take pics – next update will show the new residence.
Nancy’s family
Finally, Joe Thayer’s wife, Amanda had a baby – a girl they called Anna. Joe and Amanda lived next door to Joe’s half-brother, Cedar Greenwood. Cedar and wife just had a second daughter and for some reason, the baby shows up in the apartment next door. Joe and Amanda keep wanting to pick it up. I moved the baby so that Joe could and he went to feed it with unfortunate results.

The baby, of course, had disappeared but that didn’t stop Joe acting as if it hadn’t. He then dutifully threw the bottle away in the rubbish bin.

Weird glitch.
It’s a bit of a pain that you get glitches from the apartment next door like the baby above (which you can’t see of course). Sims keep showing up even though they’ve moved out. In one of my apartments with stairs, everyone got stuck on the stairwell and no-one could go up or down. I solved that one by moving out the Sims who were affected. Fun.
I only played 2 Sim days of the Brokes. I’ll try to update after a longer period so something more happens.

Birth and death
Veronica had finally begun to see other men.

She found love with Ethan somebody, a townie.

Veronica invited him to move in. He did, but he’s unemployed and only brought 4,000 simoleons with him. He did, however, bring a lot of friends so it’s now possible again for Veronica to be promoted. However, she is now 70 and may not have the time left.
Meanwhile she became a grandmother for the second time. Soleil gave birth to a boy and called him Louis.

Veronica looks on at her new grandson
Melisande, also asleep, had grown to school age.

Alas, Veronica’s brother, Parker’s uncle Cornelius, collapsed and died.

The Grim Reaper shook his head at the futility of it all. Cornelius was 64.
Unfortunately Cornelius also took a few friendships with him so it will be some time before Parker and Soleil can get promotions.

Sleepy Melisande
Some annoyances at Parker’s house. With three adults to look after the toddler, you’d think Melisande would get enough attention.

However, just as I direct one adult to attend to her, one of the other adults decide to do something with her or, worse, some visiting idiot picks her up and stands in a corner for ages.
So Melisande found herself on her own when it was time to sleep. She tried the old dog basket.

She also tried the dog kennel.

But she didn’t get much sleep. Parker came to the rescue after work and put her back in her cot. Soleil is now heavily pregnant and sleeping a lot herself.
Ghosts prevent people sleeping as well.

Parker’s mother still lives alone. She’s a flamenco master.

Toddler time
Parker’s daughter, Melisande, became a toddler

Nothing much else happening in that household. I think, however, that Soleil may be pregnant again.

Soleil gives birth
Parker’s wife finally gave birth – she seemed to be pregnant forever. She had a girl which she named Melisande.

I’m not sure what Parker’s going on about – whether because it’s a girl or because of the fancy and/or French name.
However, Soleil got Parker to hold the baby.

They thought with sadness how Parker’s dad, Beau, was not there to greet his first grandchild.

A sad Sim day
Beau was not feeling good while taking an early evening swim. He got out to rest.

Sadly, he died by the pool, age 68.

Platinum death
Veronica was at work at the time it happened. By the time she got back Beau was a white headstone.
So ends the life of one of the original Broke family. Beau was the second son of Brandi and Skip Broke. We all know that Skip mysteriously died in a pool when Brandi was pregnant with her third son (Chip). Brandi struggled to cope with three boys and her eldest, Dustin, left home and married Angela Pleasant. Only when Brandi met and married Willy Brannon could she afford to do up the house and send Beau to university. Unfortunately, all the early photos of Beau’s childhood were lost in a house fire. (Actually I don’t know what happened to them – either I didn’t take any pics or they got deleted.)
Beau had returned from university and was living with his little brother, Chip, when he met Veronica Huntingdon.

They started seeing more of each other.

Eventually Beau popped the question.

When they married Beau agreed to take on Veronica’s surname.

Brandi was there to see her son wed.

Beau and Veronica lived in the house that Veronica’s parents gave as a wedding present.
Veronica was a housewife for a while, while Beau worked in the science field. Veronica gave birth to a son, Parker. Parker now lives in the Huntingdon mansion which was left to him by his grandfather.
In his spare time, Beau loved cooking.

He worked hard at his job and was promoted several times, reaching the pinnacle of his career as a mad scientist. He was well liked by all.

Beau kept in touch with his brothers and they got on well.

Dustin and Beau
Older brother, Dustin, was upset that he couldn’t make Beau’s recent anniversary which younger brother, Chip, attended.
Beau’s widow, Veronica, believes that Beau knew his end was near. She believes that his scientific work shortened his life. Veronica will be inviting her young sister, Beatrice (recently returned from university), to live with her.
Beau Broke Huntingdon will be missed by all.

A day in the life of…
I’ve just been playing a day each of the families in Pleasantview to get re-acquainted after a few weeks. Just in that short time:
Belle Broke and Ocean Greenwood got married.

Only two guests were permitted so they were Ocean’s parents.

The fathers get acquainted - Dustin and Herne
Dustin is now 71.
I extended this family for day in order to have Belle and Ocean move into their own house. In that time, Belle became pregnant. Ocean wants six kids.

Belle and Ocean move in
Beau is 67 and looks close to his end. Knowing that, he wanted to have an anniversary party. But again only two guests were allowed (why?) so he invited his brothers. Only Chip showed up.

Beau’s son, Parker, will be a dad. Parker’s wife, Soleil, conceived during a thunderstorm. Parker’s uncle, Cornelius, finally grew to an elder.

Parker, Cornelius and Soleil
At Chip’s, unbeknownst to him, Brittany went out on a date with her ex-boyfriend, Kevin, who’s still at university.
Dustin’s grandkids grew up – Penny became school-age and the twins grew to toddlers.

Parker marries
Parker and his fiancée, Soleil Charvat (whose mother is a Greenwood), had moved into the Huntingdon mansion. Giles Huntingdon died soon after his wife and had left the house to his grandson. Parker’s aunt, Beatrice, had gone to university (she’s younger than he is) but Cornelius still lived in the house. The house was big enough (three storeys) and he didn’t have a lot to do with his nephew anyway.
Soleil organised the wedding party and invited parents on both sides (Beau and Veronica and Theophile and Valley) as well as one of her brother’s, Montagne, and Parker’s uncle, Chip.
