Chip becomes a father

Brittany was pregnant shortly after (or was it during?) the honeymoon.  She gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

Brittany had heard about their neighbour, Forest’s family who all had names from nature.  Brittany thought it a good idea and called her new son Stone.  Unfortunately she’d forgotten about the surname.

The townhouse they lived in was rather too small for a family.  Brittany still wanted another child – hopefully a girl, so they’d have to move eventually (perhaps into the Broke house?).

The final straw was the fire as Brittany tried to cook with her meagre skills.

It destroyed the kitchen.  Naturally they had to refurnish and redecorate in order to survive but they’ll be looking for somewhere else to live.

At Beau’s house, Beau is studying hard.  He’s currently a Theorist, but he also enjoys gaming and cooking.

He was invited to a secret shop where he played strange new games.

It appears that his son, Parker, may inherit the Huntingdon mansion. ( Cornelius has no children.)

Nancy and the twins

The twins were quite happy – between their father and the nanny they seemed to get what they needed although the nanny was a bit absent-minded.  She kept getting milk for the twins when all they wanted was a fresh nappy and a sleep.

The twins did enjoy the new play table,

and the new bouncy toy.

Joe, in particular, loved it.

Both parents taught them nursery rhymes but they hadn’t learned how to walk or talk yet.

Avri wanted to move house – he didn’t like the cramped conditions.  He had furniture in storage for which there was no room.  As a Hall of Famer he felt he deserved better.  Nancy was reluctant.  Her mother and sister’s graves were in the garden and she felt that leaving the Broke house was something like betrayal.

But then Noelene’s ghost scared her once too often.

Nancy was persuaded to move house.  They moved into a double-storeyed house that, although it was rather plain, was bigger than the Broke house.

The parents tried teaching walking and talking, in the rain, while the furniture was moved in.

Avri now had room for some of his furniture like a piano.

The lessons continued in the new house.

Mary learned to talk and enjoyed the nursery rhymes but Joe didn’t quite learn to walk.  He enjoyed the bouncy animal too much.

All too soon they grew to school age.

Joe

and Mary

They’re both pretty good-looking kids considering.

Nancy still felt bad about abandoning her mother’s house but she hoped one day it would be inhabited by a Broke.

Ageing

Dustin had finally reached elderhood.

Angela was the same age so she also grew to an elder at the same time.

Unfortunately she got fired from her job just as she was about to be promoted.  Her dream of becoming General was snatched from her.  As an elder she wouldn’t achieve her LTW.

Belle grew to a teenager.  Skip was still doing badly at school and couldn’t go to university.  With some help from Belle (who was an A student) he might achieve it.

In the meantime Skip tried to flirt with a local blonde girl.  They seemed to be getting on well but she rejected his advances.

Success for Chip

Chip hadn’t had much luck with women.  He’d fallen in love with Beau’s wife, Veronica and he’d also fallen for a local but found out she was married.  He seemed doomed to live forever with half-sister Jeanette and her dogs.

Finally he decided to employ a marriage broker and get a blind date.  He forked over 5,000 simoleons and got a fairly plain looking university student, Brittany Upsnott.  The date was ok but nothing startling.  However, he invited her over to get to know her better and later took her on a date – the date was a success.  The next time Chip saw her, he proposed.

She accepted but didn’t move in.  I had to make her drop out of college (she was in the Greek house too).

She moved in but they weren’t staying.  Chip immediately looked in the paper to find another place.  They moved to one of the townhouses over by Don Lothario.  It was small but enough to start with.

Chip had a day off so invited his family over for the wedding no-one ever thought would happen.  (He was 9 days away from becoming an elder.)

Sister-in-law, Veronica Huntingdon, and half-sister, Nancy Thayer were there.

(Nancy was heavily pregnant at the time.)

Nancy’s husband, Avri, looked bored shitless.

Chip was oblivious to all.

Avri was staring at his sister-in-law much of the time.

Only Nancy swoons over him.

Veronica, however, was upset at Chip and Brittany kissing.

She marched over and gave him a slapping.

Silly tart.

Meanwhile, the rest had gone inside to help themselves to snacks and dance away to the stereo.

Beau and Dustin

The wedding party was a roaring success.

Nancy gets married

Nancy was living alone in the old Broke house but she’d met Avri Thayer through work.  He was a hall of famer (although she didn’t know it at the time).  They became close and eventually Nancy proposed.

She wanted a proper wedding so set the date and invited family.

Seen here are sister, Jeanette, half-brothers Dustin and Chip (at the back), a local teen, and Nancy and Jeanette’s half-brother Johnny Random’s aunt, Candida.

From left Carla Random (Johnny’s aunt), Jeanette, Dustin and Angela.

Everyone had a great time, despite there being no wedding food or proper entertainment.

Mrs Nancy Thayer later discovered she was pregnant.

She had twins (of course!) – Joe and Mary.  They are now toddlers.

Joe above and Mary below.

They’re better looking than their parents – so far.  Avri is an attentive father but Nancy won’t change nappies.
